Untapped Creatives (U|C) was founded to elevate underrepresented independent luxury fashion houses, and lifestyle brands, within the luxury space. Being an added tool for retail buyers and luxury shoppers in finding newness, sustainable, and authentic pieces.

Founded by Funmi Scott in 2020, our platform represents Black-owned luxury lifestyle brands, from fashion and beauty, to kids and home - displaying a wealth of creativity.

We foster relationships with Black brand owners, securing long-term sales channels where they can thrive, and successfully partner with premium retailers and corporates; with our inaugural partnership with Selfridges from April 2021, and Soho House in May 2024.

Our tightly curated online marketplace of Black owned independent premium and luxury brands is a space for the culturally curious luxury consumer to discover and invest in an array of beautiful and sustainable pieces and products, made with the highest level of craftsmanship.

Afro-Luxe

Afro-Luxe is a term coined by Untapped Creatives and is used to describe the growing trend of art that illuminates the opulence and elegance of Africa and Black people across the diaspora. Black representation in the media has long been attached to stories of trauma or struggle. ‘Afro-Luxe’ is an attempt to change that narrative by highlighting stories of success, freedom and creativity.

The Black community is multifaceted, and our stories should reflect the wonderful tapestry of our experience. The Afro-Luxe Concept is a home for that rich tapestry.
